acne inflammation just on nose.. need help w/ the redness!!?
Hi im currently 21 and have had mild acne since i was 14 or so. It mainly stayed around my mouth, chin, or forehead and basically went away when i was 19 or so. I was just using a mild soap and a moisturizer. Then about a year ago i started getting acne on my nose. This acne has caused my nose to become incredibly red which really stands out on my pale skin. The pimples on my nose aren’t that bad at all but basically my whole nose is really red. I’ve been using salic acid cleanser but that has been really drying and hasn’t helped over the last 6 months. I’ve been using differin cream to spot treat the pimples but even when there aren’t any pimples there is still redness. So im thinking of changing my cleanser to a benzol peroxide 2.5% to see if it helps. Ive also been looking at anti inflammation diet and products with DMAE and Alpha lipoic acid(which supposedly help w/ redness).
So im wondering if anyone has experience with these products or has had luck with treating redness. Thanks

► benzoyl peroxide reduces the redness but it makes your pimple dark. and it will peel off

What makes a good anti-inflammatory diet?
I know certain foods cause inflammation, but which ones and what else can be done to fight inflammation?

  4. Patrick oldie says:

Inflammation can be caused by one or more food allergy’s where the food actual attacks the red blood cell and when it does it takes a bite size chunk out and when the blood cell duplicates it’s self which takes about 90 days it copies the damaged cell.
Try to find out which food you are allergic to by not eating that basic food (don’t test for butter or cheese) but test for cows, goats and soya milk which are the basic ingredients. Start with food that you like or crave for?
Do not eat this food for 90 day but you will show some improvement within ten days. GOOD LUCK.

Anti Inflammatory foods or remedies – in your personal experience which is most potent?
I’ve been working on an anti-inflammatory diet, and at first it worked very well and very fast at alleviating my problem.
However I slipped up, ate a lot of bad stuff and now the inflammation is back just as bad as before.
I have been trying to go back to eating right but it’s difficult and I keep slipping up and eating something nasty, or lots of nasty things…

I know what stuff is supposed to be anti-inflammatory and I’m trying it but I need 1 or 2 things that are very potent to make up for my inconsistency.

Are any of you on anti-inflammatory diets and if so what do you find to be the best food in this regard for you personally?

    Zyflamend’s effectiveness as anti-inflammatory?
I like the looks of Zyflamend. It has many of the elements that Dr. Oz and Dr. Roizen recommend for natural inflammation reduction in You on a Diet. Any testimonies pro or con? Others? I need an anti-inflammatory long-term and NSAIDs and Celebrex are not options.

Looking for a natural anti inflammatory?
I have a disease that is inflammatory based (Crohns disease) I have some problems with inflammation despite a very clean diet and regular exercise..I can not even take Aleve or any NSAID because it makes my colon bleed….would fish oil be a good natural inflammatory option and could soon would it be before I notice any results

  8. Ray says:

Good anti-inflammatory foods are things like fresh whole fruits, brightly-colored vegetables, olive oil, nuts, legumes and seeds, dark green leafy vegetables, old fashioned oatmeal, turmeric and ginger.
Inflammatory foods to avoid/minimize include: sugar, from any source, processed foods, French Fries, fast foods, white bread, pasta, ice cream, cheddar cheese, snack foods, oils such as vegetable and corn, soda, caffeine and alcohol and animal products.
The amount of inflammation in your body is also dependent on your activity level, amount of sleep, body weight, fiber intake and stress levels.

fish oil is an excellent anti inflammatory. You can read peer reviewed article abstracts from medical and scientific journals at this site. They are in plain english so anyone can understand the abstracts. Go to vitasearch.com and search for Crohns Disease in the search box, and get the “abstract”. You will see research that points to Fish oil as very helpful, but you have to see it with your own eyes. Another site with similar citations plus magazine articles and other journal research is qualitycounts.com. Search for Crohns Disease and get lots of hits.
