Eczema Natural Treatment For Children – Treating Eczema in Children Without Side Effects
By Audrey Ly
Eczema is a skin disorder which is becoming increasingly common. According to the National Institutes of Health (NIH), there are more than 15 million Americans have atopic dermatitis, or eczema. There are a few different types of eczema, but the most common one is atopic dermatitis, which common symptoms include inflamed and itchy skin. The cost of treating eczema does not come cheap. According to the NIH, the payout by insurance companies for medical cost for eczema treatment is over billion every year. As many Americans are either uninsured or under insured, the actual cost for treating eczema is likely to be much higher.
Till today, the exact cause of eczema is still unknown. The NIH says that the skin disorder is resulted from a combination of genetic and environmental factors. Eczema is commonly associated with allergies and auto-immune system disorders. External factors such as stress is also a major cause of eczema break out for many sufferers. The increased pollution of the environment does not help as dust, cigarette smoke, synthetic fibers, harsh chemicals and so on can aggravate eczema outbreaks.
Sadly, eczema affects more children, especially babies than adults. According to NIH, an estimate of 65% of patients develop symptoms in the first year of life and 90% develop symptoms before the age of 5 years. While eczema tend to ease for some children as they grow up, there are about 60% of the children carry the symptoms of eczema into adulthood.
Unfortunately for eczema sufferers, there is no known cure for eczema. Doctors commonly prescribe medications which suppress the eczema symptoms. Now, as parents are more educated, they have concerns about using these medications in the long term for eczema treatment. Suppressing eczema symptoms is not the answer to treating eczema as the symptoms will be back again and again when the medication subsides. Immuno-modulators that comes in ointment or cream form can bring about side effects if used for long term. These are also not safe to used on young children. Common medications prescribed by doctors for eczema include antihistamines, immuno-suppressants, and corticosteroids can bring long term side effects such as skin thinning and weakening of the immune system.
Therefore, many parents are now searching for a better alternative for eczema treatment for their babies and children. That is why home remedies are becoming more popular. There are many natural eczema treatments on the market that can stop itching and healing dry skin. One good example is using bath salts and essential oils. Salt bath is known to effectively stop itching while essential oils are great moisturizer to the skin. The best thing about these natural remedies is that these products are safe for children and can be used for long term without any side effects.
If you are a parent looking for tried and proven eczema treatment for children, you need to know the importance of good skin routine and eating a healthy diet, not forgetting the importance of internal cleansing. There are many people free of eczema for life by simply following making changes in their lifestyle.
Yes, we have had this experience. From what I’ve seen, it is becoming more and more common (www.whale.to/v/eczema.html), although parents don’t often recognize the vaccine connection. The most convincing evidence I found were pictures located at the CDC website of children with eczemous responses to vaccinations.
I have read research findings that verify what common sense tells us… any unnatural injection introduced into the body pushes the immune system into a frenzy dealing with the invasion, rendering it less capable to combat things naturally introduced (marytocco.com, childhoodshots.com). I believe eczema, asthma, general allergies, food sensitivities, and other immune system problems are much more common in immunized children.
Specifically, I found 2-phenoxyethanol to be a major player here. It is a preservative used in several vaccines and contains ethylene oxide, which is an irritant causing dermatitis and eczema. http://www. vaccinetruth.org/2-phenoxyethanol.htm for more info on this particular chemical and offending vaccines.
When a predisposition to eczema exists, as in our case, there is evidence to suggest vaccination exacerbates the condition. I plan to investigate further (other toxins include formaldehyde, aluminum, antifreeze, latex, etc.). Our oldest suffered immune system damage following multiple vaccinations. This was evidenced by severe eczema, food/environmental allergies/intolerances, imbalance of intestinal flora/candida and suppressed immune function (frequent infection with various viral/bacterial issues). We are still working toward full recovery 4 years later. The good news is there are steps we can take to minimize and sometimes reverse damage. I am intruiged by your question and would love to compare notes. Feel free to email me. God bless.
Is there any study in vaccines exacerbated eczema in children?
Is there any study in vaccines for children exacerbates or causes eczema?
What is the best over the counter medication for eczema in children?
My son is scratching himself to death. I have tried everything from hydrocortisone, oatmeal baths, lubriderm creams etc. I do not have medical insurance and cannot afford another trip to the doctor just for them to prescribe hydrocortisone cream that works for a few days and then he has another flare up.
Renew skin lotion By Melaleuca. Plus he may have a nutritional deficiency causing the flare ups. Maybe a good Kids vitamin.

It is a genetic disease. It arises from interplay of multiple genes with external environmental factors. The more atopic genes that are present, the less environmental initiators are required to produce eczema.
